STEM Comes Alive @ OLPH in Brooklyn

Zip lines, egg drops, balloon cars, marble mazes, catapults, and rockets are just some of the many projects engineered by the Junior High inside the S.T.E.M. Lab at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy of Brooklyn! Concepts like trajectory, center of mass, and velocity are learned at a quicker and easier rate when they are part of the all the fun hands on projects. First-year teacher and OLPH alumni Mr. Molinari (‘07) has built up the program to expand technology-wise and to younger grades for the future. The projects have been also captured in photography & video by our enthusiastic students in our new Video Club to show the world how learning can be fun! Parents have voiced their love for the videos as they don’t always get to see or hear about their child’s day at school in full detail.
