DIOCESE OF BROOKLYN ANNOUNCES PASSING OF REV. JOSEPH M. NOLAN

Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Joseph M. Nolan, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Nolan was born on April 23, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York, was ordained to the Priesthood on May 31, 1947, and died Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Bishop Mugavero Residence, Douglaston.

Father Nolan served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus (Cambria Heights), as well as Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Holy Innocents (Brooklyn), Immaculate Conception (Astoria), Saint Michael (Bay Ridge), Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Brooklyn), Saint Vincent Ferrer (Brooklyn), Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Brooklyn) and Our Lady of the Snows (Floral Park). He also served as Chaplain of the Young Christian Workers for Kings County and as a member of the Diocesan Priests’ Senate.
