The Diocesan Reconfiguration Committee expects to release all its draft regional proposals to the appropriate constituents by January 11, 2009. A broad based consultation on the various proposals will be conducted immediately in every region of the Diocese following the release of the proposals. The consultation will conclude on Friday, February 12, 2009.

In August of 2008 Ms. Judith Rodrigues-Lytwyn informed the Diocese of Brooklyn that she had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with a priest who had served in the diocese. Two Park Slope Parishes Merge
Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of the Diocese of Brooklyn has issued a canonical decree on the merger of two Park Slope parishes that became effective March 1.
