NYPD COMMISSIONER JAMES O’NEILL AMONG HONOREES AT CATHOLIC EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP DINNER TOMORROW NIGHT

            The Diocese of Brooklyn is announcing the 30th Annual Futures in Education Scholarship Fund Dinner will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22, 2019, starting at 6:00 pm, with the awards presentation beginning at 7:00 pm at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street in Manhattan.

 

This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies will be the co-host of Fox 5 NY’s Good Day New YorkRosanna Scotto, and the honorees include:

 

Msgr. David L. Cassato, Pastor, St. Athanasius R.C. Church
James P. O’Neill, Commissioner, New York City Police Department
Stephen Squeri, Chairman & CEO, American Express
Tim Tynan, CEO, Bank of America Merchant Service

 

The Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, and Monsignor Jamie Gigiantiello, Vicar for Development for the Diocese of Brooklyn, will also be among the guests.

 

All proceeds from this event will be put toward scholarships that will be awarded to financially challenged students attending Catholic grammar schools and academies in Brooklyn and Queens. Since its inception, Futures in Education has awarded $108 million to over 30,000 students. Every day Futures in Education has a powerful impact on the lives of over 4,600 children in Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens.
