Death Notice of a Priest – Reverend Monsignor Lawrence E. Hinch

Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Monsignor Lawrence E. Hinch, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Monsignor Hinch was born on September 11, 1933 in New York, was ordained to the Priesthood on May 30,1959, and died Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Monsignor Hinch served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Active Senior Priest at the Parish of Holy Child Jesus (Richmond Hill), Temporary Administrator of Saint Anthony of Padua (South Ozone Park) Pastor of the Parishes of Saint Teresa (Woodside), Saint Teresa of Avila (South Ozone Park), and Saint Laurence (Brooklyn). He also served as Parochial Vicar of the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul (Brooklyn). Monsignor Hinch was also Director of the Saint Paul Cursillo Center.

On February 25, 1988, Monsignor Hinch was named Prelate of Honor to His Holiness.
