Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Robert W. Blauvelt, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Blauvelt was born on July 19, 1930, in Rosedale, Long Island, New York, was ordained to the Priesthood on May 30, 1959, and died Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at the Queen of Peace Residence, Queens Village.

Father Blauvelt served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the Parish of Saint Stanislaus Kostka (Maspeth), as well as Parochial Vicar of Saint Brendan (Brooklyn), Saint Clare (Rosedale), Saint Mary, Mother of Jesus (Brooklyn, Team Ministry), Immaculate Heart of Mary (Brooklyn), Resurrection- Ascension (Rego Park), Our Lady Queen of Martyrs (Forest Hills), Saint Ann (Flushing) and Saint Camillus (Rockaway Beach). He also served as Faculty of the Queens Division of Cathedral Preparatory Seminary (Elmhurst), Spiritual Director of Saint Paul Cursillo Center as well as Diocesan Coordinator for Marriage Encounter.
