Description

Provide individual and group counseling services to students in grades K – 12 in Catholic schools in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. In addition to counseling services, the position requires that the counselors provide drug prevention information to the students utilizing evidence-based curricula as determined by the funder: NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. The position requires that the counselor be able to work collaboratively with school administrators and faculties and become familiar with referral resources in that school community.

Qualifications

Masters’ degree in social work, school counseling, mental health counseling or related field. License in the field of study preferred.
