The Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a full-time professional to develop, implement and evaluate programs for all formal religious education in the Diocese. This is a ministry role responsible for providing leadership to local catechetical leaders, catechist development, supporting parents as partners in religious education, and organizing and directing religious education workshops on both the diocesan and regional levels. The Director will represent the Diocese at various functions, communicate professionally in writing and verbally on behalf of the Diocese, and partner with Catholic Schools, Youth and Young Adults, Marriage and Family Life and College Campus Ministries.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Practicing Catholic
- Master’s Degree in Religious Education/Theology
- Knowledge, skills and abilities obtained through 5 years of parish and 3 years of diocesan level experience; or equivalent
- Broad knowledge of catechetical issues
- Ability to travel regionally
