As a faith community, the parish of Saint Matthew is deeply concerned with the dignity and well being our employees. At the same time, we are required to be good stewards of the property and resources in our care.

Several months ago the parish indicated to Mr. Titre the intention to sell the parish house in which he has lived for many years. This became necessary to meet the many pressing financial demands upon the parish. At that time, we made clear our intention to assist him to secure another dwelling. Unfortunately, Mr. Titre refused our offer of assistance.

We are grateful for Mr. Titre’s service to our parish. Unfortunately, Mr. Titre was either unable or unwilling to fulfill the demands of his position and it became necessary for our parish to move in another direction.

We wish Mr. Titre well. Despite the fact that he is no longer in our employee we remain committed to assisting him to find suitable housing.
