Thursday, December 8, The Diocese of Brooklyn is launching its Christmas campaign called “Put Him on Your List.” Most people celebrating Christmas have long to-do lists. This campaign serves as a reminder for Catholics to make time in their busy schedules to go to Church and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The campaign includes newspaper ads; a TV commercial; digital ads; radio spots recorded by Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn; and 110,000 button pins that will be available at the Diocese’s 186 parishes across Brooklyn and Queens.
Anyone can also help spread this Christmas message via social media. Wednesday, December 14 is “wear-your-pin day.” People are encouraged to take pictures of themselves, family and friends wearing their buttons and post them with the hashtag #PutHimOnYourList.
Some of the ads also include a joint campaign with the Archdiocese of New York for Reconciliation Monday. Parishes in all of New York City will be open for confession on December 19 from 4-8pm. To find a Catholic church near you, go to https://
The Diocese of Brooklyn is the eighth largest diocese in the United States and the only entirely urban diocese in the nation, serving the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.
