CURRENTS NEWS EARNS FOUR NEW YORK EMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS

NET TV, New York’s Catholic television network, announced that its nightly newscast, Currents News, has earned four nominations for the 69th Annual New York Emmy Awards which recognize excellence in television journalism. The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominations on July 2, 2026.

The award nominations honor Currents News’ coverage of some of the year’s most significant events, including the funeral of Pope Francis, the historic election of Pope Leo XIV, and an in-depth feature on renowned church architect Patrick Keely, often referred to as the “Prince of Church Architecture.”

Currents News received nominations in the following categories:

Winners will be announced at the 69th Annual New York Emmy Awards Gala on October 10, 2026.
