Bishop Robert Brennan, Bishop of the Brooklyn Diocese, will unite with Catholics, healthcare advocates, disability rights representatives and concerned New Yorkers for a candlelight vigil tonight urging Governor Hochul to veto the assisted suicide bill.
With only weeks remaining before the Governor’s deadline to act, participants will make their voices heard in defense of vulnerable populations who would be impacted by the bill: including the elderly, disabled, and those facing mental health challenges.
The vigil is one of four such events taking place yesterday and today across New York State.
