BISHOP ROBERT BRENNAN TO CELEBRATE MASS IN HONOR OF THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

Bishop Robert Brennan, Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, will celebrate a Mass commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn.

Father Patrick Winbush, a priest of the Order of St. Benedict at Newark Abbey, will deliver the homily. Father Winbush currently serves as Rector of St. Mary’s Church in Newark and is a member of the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus.

Music will be provided by the music ministry ensemble drawn from central Brooklyn parishes. The liturgy is organized by the Vicariate Office of Black Catholic Concerns for the Diocese of Brooklyn.
