Bishop Robert Brennan of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, which includes Queens, will observe Good Friday on Friday, April 3, 2026, beginning with the 30th Annual Way of the Cross Good Friday procession across the Brooklyn Bridge.

A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. James, located at 250 Cathedral Place in Downtown Brooklyn, followed by the procession.

The procession will cross the Brooklyn Bridge, before continuing to City Hall Park and then St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine on Liberty Street. At each stop, there will be prayer, music and reflections given by Bishop Brennan. Archbishop Elpidophoros of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will welcome the faithful at St. Nicholas.
