Bishop Brennan to Celebrate Mass Following Election of New Pope

Bishop Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, which includes Queens, will celebrate Mass tomorrow, Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. James, located at 250 Cathedral Place in Downtown Brooklyn.

Bishop Brennan will speak of the historic election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope, during his homily.

This Sunday marks the fourth Sunday after Easter, known as Good Shepherd Sunday. This is the first Sunday following the Papal Conclave, which picked a new shepherd to lead the Universal Catholic Church.
