“Pilgrims of Hope” is the theme of the 2025 Jubilee Year; it is also the theme of the Bi-Annual one day pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. for the diocese of Brooklyn. The theme is a call to people to journey with hope and faith, and to help others find hope as well.

How we envision the Jubilee includes:

• Pilgrim: A person who travels to a sacred place for religious reasons
• Hope: A feeling of expectation and desire for something good to happen
• Jubilee Year: A holy year that occurs every 25 years

The invitation of the Jubilee theme:

• The theme is a call to people to have hope, even in times of war, pandemic, and climate crisis
• The theme is a call to people to look to the future with hope and trust
• The theme is a call to people to spread hope to others
