Compassionate Care: Body, Mind, And Spirit

Overview

The Hospital & Healthcare Chaplaincy Program, coordinated by the Secretary for Clergy Personnel with the help of dedicated lay employees, is a vital part of the Clergy Personnel System in the Diocese of Brooklyn. Our team, comprising clergy, religious, and lay chaplains, provides compassionate care across Brooklyn and Queens, extending spiritual support to hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, and various institutions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver comprehensive pastoral care, addressing not just physical ailments, but also the psychological, social, and spiritual needs of clergy personnel. We are committed to serving the Catholic community and those of other faiths, ensuring that every person in need receives the spiritual care they deserve.

Services We Offer

24-Hour Spiritual Care: Our care team is available around the clock to provide full-time, part-time, and emergency spiritual care in all affiliated facilities.

Pastoral Care: We encompass a range of spiritual services, including compassionate listening, support during times of pain and alienation, and guidance in finding peace through faith.

Training and Resources: The Chaplaincy Program offers ESL, SSL, and accent modification programs to enhance the skills of our chaplains and clergy.
