Reverend Monsignor Faustino Cordero

Died On: October 30, 2025

Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Monsignor Faustino Cordero, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Monsignor Cordero was born on March 13, 1937, was ordained to the priesthood on October 10, 1971, and died Thursday October 30, 2025.

Monsignor Cordero served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Saint Finbar (Brooklyn), Saint Rita (Long Island City), Our Lady of Fatima (Jackson Heights), and Saint Barbara (Brooklyn). He also served as Pastor of the parish of Saint John the Evangelist-Saint Rocco (Brooklyn). Monsignor Cordero served as the Spiritual Director of the Hispanic Curia of the Legion of Mary. Monsignor Cordero was named Prelate of Honor on March 10, 1999.
