Reverend Donald M. Berran

Died On: February 12, 2026

Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Donald M. Berran, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Berran was born on October 27, 1934, was ordained to the Priesthood on May 28, 1960 and died Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Father Berran served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the Parishes of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (South Ozone Park) and Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians (Woodside). He also served as Parochial Vicar of the Parishes of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Brooklyn), Saint Helen (Howard Beach), and Sacred Heart (Glendale); and was in residence at the Parishes of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (South Ozone Park), Our Lady Queen of Martyrs (Forest Hills), and Saint Ephrem (Brooklyn).
