Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Andrew R. Varano, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Varano was born on October 25, 1932, was ordained to the priesthood on May 31,1958, and died Sunday June 14, 2026.
Father Varano served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the parish of Saint Francis of Paola (Brooklyn). He served as parochial vicar of the parishes of Holy Family (Flatlands) and Saint Francis of Paola (Brooklyn).
