Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Monsignor Robert J. Ecker, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Monsignor Ecker was born on March 2, 1927, was ordained to the Priesthood on June 9, 1951, and died Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Monsignor Ecker served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Chaplain and Captain of the U.S. Navy, and Parochial Vicar of the Parish of Our Lady of Angels (Brooklyn).
