Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Thomas M. Haggerty a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Haggerty was born on January 10, 1939, was ordained to the priesthood on May 30, 1964, and died Saturday December 6, 2025.
Father Haggerty served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the parishes of Saint John the Evangelist-Saint Rocco (Brooklyn), Saint Sylvester (Brooklyn), Saint Michael (Brooklyn), and Saint Joseph (Brooklyn). He also served as parochial vicar of the parish of Most Holy Trinity (Brooklyn). He was retired in residence in the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Brooklyn), after which he was in private residence and then at the Bishop Mugavero residence in the Immaculate Conception Center.
