Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, regrets to inform you of the death of Reverend Luke Wei, a retired priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Father Wei was born on January 4, 1934, was ordained to the priesthood on July 2, 1960, and died Friday, October 24, 2025.
Father Wei served as parochial vicar of the parishes of Saint Finbar (Brooklyn), Our Lady of Refuge (Brooklyn), Saint Frances Cabrini (Brooklyn), Our Lady Queen of Martyrs (Forest Hills), Saint Rose of Lima (Massapequa-Diocese of Rockville Centre), Saint Mary Isle (Long Beach-Diocese of Rockville Centre), and Saint Ignatius (Long Beach-Diocese of Rockville Centre).
