Welcome to the Vocations Office of the Diocese of Brooklyn

Over 600 priests serve in the Diocese of Brooklyn. One-third of them are members of religious communities. There are also 1,331 sisters and 157 brothers who serve in the Diocese. In total, some 90 religious communities serve in the Diocese.

Are you being called to join in their way of life?

The Vocations Office of the Diocese of Brooklyn helps young people discern God's call and plan for their lives. The directors provide ongoing vocation awareness education throughout the Diocese, with a special emphasis on priesthood and consecrated life as a sister, brother, priest, or member of a secular institute.

We invite qualified candidates to seriously consider these ministries and ways of life, and offer interested candidates the opportunity to discern their vocations in a supportive environment. We also train others in the skills of vocation awareness, invitation, and discernment.
