A Queens school is looking for full time school bookkeeper.
Job responsibilities include providing financial and operational services for the day to day running of the school. Qualified candidates should have experience with Quickbooks, tuition and vendor payments, timesheets and wage earnings statements, reconciling payroll, preparing and issuing paychecks for all school employees, as well as managing employee leave and vacation time, verifying attendance and managing all relevant employee paperwork and benefits. This position requires close work with the school accountant to review and pay bills, prepare all bank deposits, and monitor vendor service agreements.
Qualifications include a Bachelor or Associate Degree in finance, accounting or related field of study, and two to four years of related experience in bookkeeping or finance, as well as general computer skills and office management skills.
