The Alive in Hope Foundation is a
nonprofit organization serving the Catholic Community in
Brooklyn and Queens. Since 1998, it has awarded over $15 Million
in grants assisting individual students, parishes, schools and ministries throughout the Diocese. In the Fiscal year 2007,
the Foundation awarded over $5 Million in grants supporting
people and programs through direct and indirect services.
One of the largest Catholic Community Foundations in the country,
the Alive in Hope Foundation manages the assets of over 80
endowed funds. The Foundation fulfills its mission through the
establishment and responsible management of these endowed funds,
which are created by individuals, foundations, organizations,
parishes and schools to support a variety of causes.
In the last decade, the demographic landscape of the Brooklyn
Diocese has changed dramatically, and economic realities have
placed growing burdens on the community. At this critical time,
the Alive in Hope Foundation renews its mission to meet the
long-term spiritual, social and educational needs of this
immigrant, urban community. |
